Chelsey Niebuhr, CSW

I have talked to many clients who feel like they are navigating life barefoot in a room full of LEGOs with the lights turned off. They want a reprieve from their overwhelming emotions of worry, confusion, shame, sadness, anger, guilt, and many other powerful emotions. They are seeking healthier ways to manage these big emotions so they can get back to living a life with the lights turned on.

They are seeking a life where they have control of their emotions and can find closure from past events, successfully maneuver their current situation, or traverse future challenges that come their way.

As a clinician, I enjoy helping others learn the skills needed to overcome their challenges. I use evidence-based practices combined with respect and dignity as I help my clients stretch and grow. I honor each client as I partner with them in collaborative treatment planning and implementation. I help my clients learn to recognize their personal strengths. As they understand their strengths it will increase their ability to progress. It's important that my clients feel validated in whatever emotion they are feeling. To accomplish this, I work to create an environment that is safe and compassionate.

I believe it takes bravery to step out of your comfort zone and put in the work needed to make a positive change in your life. I encourage you to reach out for help and support whether you are contemplating change or you’re ready to dive headfirst into treatment. I would consider it a privilege to join you on your journey as you seek to turn on the lights and move forward with confidence.
